    Fitness/bodybuilding at university
Are there any universities which are into bodybuilding or have a group of people into weights and the gym and that? Seeing as it's a part of my routine, a university with these things would lean me towards that uni a little more. I'm applying to manchester, kcl, bristol, edinburgh and either york or sheffield by the way. Is there a way i can keep up bodybuilding at uni as well as doing the uni work at the same time by the way?

Bristol doesn't have any clubs for bodybuilding. IF you are a real bodybuilder or powerlifter, don't get a gym membership (rip off now) just go to empire sports where the pros train. If you are just good, but not professional, then i'd recommend anytime fitness, 24 hr access, 2 powercages, enough floor space, and very cheap membership, great location. And a lot of strong guys ( deadlift 300+ etc)

Any big city will have a couple of bodybuilding dungeons, just use google or something.

Bodybuilding at uni is awesome. You will likely never have as much free time as you do when you're at uni. When I'm not on placement I quite happily train 2x per day. Just be a grown up and manage your time. It's really not difficult.

Empire is awesome but you can only train like 3-4x per week cos men and women can only train on separate days (unless you're an oly lifter- then they don't care).

A lot of unis have weightlifting and powerlifting and even bodybuilding societies. If not, start one! :P

Can't speak for any other universities, but I'm at Queen Mary in London and the gym (Qmotion) is the dogs *******s, and we have both powerlifting and weightlifting societies, including a weightlifting team that competes.

Which unis have these societies? Do the unis I'm applying for (manchester, bristol, edinburgh, king's college, york, sheffield) support bodybuilding/gyming well?

Tbh, you'll probably get a better response asking in the individual forums for those unis. Most uni forums on TSR have chat or applicant threads where you can ask your question to prevent you from posting the same thread across several forums.

York has an aesthetics society, but they don't seem to take things seriously like QM do.

is there any university which has a bodybuilding society? i get the feeling the name bodybuilding has negative stereotypes associated with it, so it'll probably be named weightlifting or powerlifting society.

I really hope my bodybuilding lifestyle doesn't get too jeopardised when I start Uni. I do worry so I do.

That's amazing. On the Bro vs Douchebag scale I give it... 10/10 for both of them. Would totally join. May even do another degree at York just so I can.
