Re: Living at home and paying rent ?
I used to pay £50 a week when I lived with my mom. I started working full-time a day or two after I moved back home from my first year of university so I'm not sure what I would've done if I didn't find a job so quickly - but I would've helped out in any way that I could, otherwise she would have struggled to afford everything.

Re: Living at home and paying rent ?Are you working full-time?(Original post by xalex99x)
I pay £100 every month..
£80 for me (£20 a week), I earn less than £100 a week at the moment.
My mother recently said, out of nowhere, that she now wants £30 a week (£120 a month) which I thought was a bit strange and a little unfair but what can you say? I was speaking to my sister later that day and she said when she was living here (two years ago) and working full time/training she was on £300 a week and still paid £20 a week to live here, but my mother wants £30 a week from me. I was absolutely raging.
I brought it up when my Dad was there and he agreed with me
A quarter of what I get I think is fair isn't it
Looking at what some of you lot are paying I feel like I'm getting bumped.
