Living at home and paying rent ?
Ok so my studies are in my hometown and I live with my parents and pay rent £500 every 3 months.

I'm curious does anyone else pay their parents rent and how much monthly ?

I used to pay £30 a week when I lived at home. I think it's only right to pay your parents something..

When I'm working (with a temp agency so it varies haha) I pay £20-50ish a week depending on the wage. I also pay for meals in resteraunts or a bottle of wine to be nice

I used to pay £50 a week when I lived with my mom. I started working full-time a day or two after I moved back home from my first year of university so I'm not sure what I would've done if I didn't find a job so quickly - but I would've helped out in any way that I could, otherwise she would have struggled to afford everything.

£20 a week, she negotiated me up from £15!

Decided to go back home for uni rather than in Halls, much cheaper!

I don't pay a fixed sum as such (to be honest, I don't think my mum would accept straight up cash from me), but generally try to contribute by doing the grocery shopping and that sort of thing.

    I pay £100 every month..
    Are you working full-time?

£80 for me (£20 a week), I earn less than £100 a week at the moment.

My mother recently said, out of nowhere, that she now wants £30 a week (£120 a month) which I thought was a bit strange and a little unfair but what can you say? I was speaking to my sister later that day and she said when she was living here (two years ago) and working full time/training she was on £300 a week and still paid £20 a week to live here, but my mother wants £30 a week from me. I was absolutely raging.

I brought it up when my Dad was there and he agreed with me

A quarter of what I get I think is fair isn't it

Looking at what some of you lot are paying I feel like I'm getting bumped.

Yeah I work full time, but my parents don't really need the money if you know what I mean...

When my friends lived at home they all payed £120, that seems about average to me...but with your wage it doesnt seem very fair!
