Standard Form
Probably a stupid question but I need to know why it is the way it is.
By writing 56900 and 0.0313 in standard form correct to 1 significant figure, estimate the value of 56900 x 0.0313
I know that 56900 is 60000 to 1.s.f
But when you convert the 60000 to standard form the book states that it is 6*10^5
Is this correct because I keep on getting 6*10^4
What misconception do I have here?
