I've tried a 'fake' ring and I think I look rather good with it, but I already have my lip pierced and I'm starting to worry too much about what other people will think...not passers-by, I don't care about them, but I mean customers. I have a job where I have to go into people's homes and I've noticed just with my current look I get a few surprised faces and I'm not that extreme.

Should I give a damn either way if I want it done, especially given I can take it out at any time? Btw I have no 'boss' to worry about, I'm self-employed.

If you aren't 100% sure, then don't bother; it'll only be a waste of money. Stick with the fake ring - does the same job but is a lot easier to put in/take out!

I always thought rings look better than studs actually. Studs remind me of 13 year old chavs lol.

Just do it. If you don't like it you can take it out and no harm is done.

I don't see why you shouldn't get it done. You don't even have to take it out as you can get clear or flesh coloured retainers that are hardly noticeable.

I love my nose piercing and tbh I think it's actually surprisingly subtle (quite a few people took months to notice). Plus I have a flesh coloured retainer for if I ever need to remove it.

IMO a lip piercing is more 'extreme' than a nose piercing anyway. Nose piercings are tiny and not particularly noticable anyway, especially once you change the origional stud to a smaller one. If you want it, get it

Yeah, it's only "other people's" reactions I'm worrying about. Even though I'm 24, I had a bit of an argument with my mum over it, but I feel/look good with it. So perhaps that's all I should worry about.
