Actually, this would give you an A* grade overall not an A.

Re: What AS Level grades...oops! Should be 71% at AS is the minimum needed to get an A but not an A* overall (as long as you get exactly 89% at A2).(Original post by jackclarke1995)

Don't think the subjects matter, since there is always the same UMS at AS as there is at A2 in any given subject (either 200 or 300)
