Some subjects are out of different UMS marks.
3. if you get 60% average at AS (a C grade), then 100% at A2 will average to 80% (an A grade) overall. If you did some AS retakes theoretically you could still get an A with even lower grades.

Actually, this would give you an A* grade overall not an A.

To get an A overall but not an A* you could get 81% average at AS followed by 89% at A2.

oops! Should be 71% at AS is the minimum needed to get an A but not an A* overall (as long as you get exactly 89% at A2).

Don't think the subjects matter, since there is always the same UMS at AS as there is at A2 in any given subject (either 200 or 300)
