I've often wondered whether, when you click on friends, and a whole load of people appear near the top of your list, even though you haven't contacted them or looked at their page, these are friends who have looked at your profile recently.

I cannot seem to think of any other explanation- what does everyone else think...?

I would imagine that it's probably random.

With the number of males on the directors board of FB, it is unlikely that anyone will approve a function which lets people see who has been stalking them

I thought that as well but I am not 100% sure and to be honest I don't really care that much

I think it's more than a coincidence that the people who are at the top of my friends list are the people whose profiles I look at the most (and who probably look at mine a fair bit too) like my best friends, my boyfriend etc. and I often notice that with people I rarely talk to, if I like their status or randomly look at their profile they'll show up at the top of the list.

The people who show up first when you enter letters in the search box are also supposed to be the people whose profiles you've been stalking/have been stalking you.
