This is probably a weird question, but how much ice cream do you have? Whenever I have a hot thing with a cold thing, I need a 1:1 ratio to neutralise the temperature.

Yes! A good piece of pie does need a couple of scoops of ice cream. So you get the same amount of each with each spoonful.
