Re: The Rugby Union SocietyVery true. Glad i didn't put on a bet the way it's going.(Original post by TheBugler)
If Wales get drawn into playing fast and loose (as should be for a Baas Baas game) then the Baa Baas will win, but I don't know if they'd have it in them to play for the full 80 after 3 games in one week, with plenty of drinking thrown in to aid recovery...
Very true, it's still a good team. Wales playing very well so far.(Original post by Idris Dragon)
The Welsh starting XV isn't weak mind you... It's definitely a dirttrackers team but it's a lot better than some of full strength the teams we were putting out a decade ago...
15 Liam Williams (Scarlets);
14 Harry Robinson (Blues),
13 Andrew Bishop (Ospreys),
12 James Hook (Perpignan),
11 Aled Brew (Dragons);
10 Dan Biggar (Ospreys),
9 Lloyd Williams (Blues);
1 Rhys Gill (Saracens),
2 Matthew Rees (Scarlets, capt),
3 Rhodri Jones (Scarlets),
4 Alun Wyn Jones (Ospreys),
5 Ian Evans (Ospreys),
6 Josh Turnbull (Scarlets),
7 Justin Tipuric (Ospreys),
8 Ryan Jones (Ospreys)
The pack is pretty strong. Backs are very young, but Bishop, Hook & Biggar played together for ages. Williams is pretty good at inside half too. -
Re: The Rugby Union Society
Looking forward to seeing Brown, Foden and Ashton working together against the Boks. Lethal back line
Preps to Marler (great season at Quins) and Johnson (decent season at Exeter) for making it into the team.
Nice to see Haskell might be making a return at some point. Although a bit of prick, he is an absolute BEAST

Re: The Rugby Union SocietyIt's on sky but other than that coverage is absolutely minimal.(Original post by MissLightyear)
Im following what I can on twitter, but its not that easy to keep up to date. England managed toget 2 players sin binned within a few minutes of each other though
The two were more than justified. Glad to see a ref with the balls to sit more than one at once. -
Re: The Rugby Union SocietyYou should've slept in :P(Original post by pinkpenguin)
C'MON IRELAND
I finished finals yesterday and am probably still drunk. Still can't miss it though (if I did sod's law would mandate that Ireland would get their first win ever). -

You should've slept in :P
The frustrating thing is, in phases we look damn good. There was a good couple of phases in the first half when we made 40 metres or so. Then NZ tear us apart. Tbf, NZ look incredible atm.
I just wish we'd suck, rather than play 'okay'. Means we have zero hope of winning, so I don't get my hopes up. -
Re: The Rugby Union SocietyUnfortunatley I dont have sky, miss out on most of the rugby(Original post by Idris Dragon)

I have no doubts they were justified, you'd think after youve had one player binned you'd be extra careful though. -

Also good to see aussies beating wales. welsh fans are getting a bit too cocky for my liking, how can you be considered best team in the northern hemisphere when you have a 3/4 match loosing streak against australia south africa. may i remind you i the last couple of years scotland have beat australia twice, south africa and argentina twice in argentina!
