My brother is injured - now we can't go to Beijing :(
I don't mean to be horrible to him but basically he tore a ligament in his knee from dancing. I personally feel like it is entirely his fault as it has happened to him before and it has happened because he doesn't stretch before dancing.
The whole purpose of us going to Beijing is because he was going to be doing World Challenge in Mongolia and my mum insisted on chaperoning him. Since obviously he won't be capable of hiking etc. he will not be going on the trip which means we will not be going on ours.
I am so fed up of my parents mollycoddling him and basing their whole lives around him and his activities - he constantly has a poor me attitude to live and consistently forgets the world does not revolve around him.
Now as I result I get no holiday in the summer - it was only for one week as it is. I also saved up the money for my flight. I'm so pissed off right now - he is nearly 18 and they treat him like a 5 year old. -
Re: My brother is injured - now we can't go to Beijing :(It's supposed to be a family holiday - and if I go on my own my mum can't claim any money back.(Original post by OU Student)
And you can't go by yourself, because...? -

First of all, don't be such a spoilt baby.
Second of all, sounds fair to me, your mum doesn't want to waste money and its not exactly his fault for injuring himself, doubt he did it on purpose.
Imagine if you were him, how would you feel if your whole family left you to go on holiday while you're injured.
Pipe down and get some sense
