Why has such an unusual 'HEALTH WARNING' been issued?

Yes the system is flawed, I think we should go down the route of limiting places a la medical students at university, but if a good proportion of people weren't so delusional then the problem wouldn't be so acute in any event.(Original post by Wildman)
I'm surprised you are all railing against tammy. It is clear that the BPTC is a massive scam. Most of you seem to be apologists for a deeply flawed system.

Re: BPTC 2012 1 Re-Sit rationale????I actually think that most of us agree that the BPTC providers should be doing more to filter students who do not have a realistic prospect of obtaining pupillage. But any suggestion that BPTC providers are the sole cause of the problem of excessive numbers of BPTC graduates in nonsense. Providers can only accept students on to the course who actually apply. By definition those who apply for the BPTC are well educated law graduates who should be capable of researching their career paths and making well informed and realistic decisions. Those who apply for the BPTC who clearly do not have the ability to become a barrister must also bear some of the responsibility for the choices that they make.(Original post by Wildman)

The recruitment policy of BPTC providers is far from perfect, but it is far from the sole cause of the problem. The BPTC is not a 'scam'. Nor do the majority of the criticisms that tammy is making against the cause have any weight behind them at all.
