    Taking Biology AS-level Independently!
    Hi,

I'd like to do AS-level Biology independently next year as I'm applying for graduate-entry medicine this september.

I'll need to be doing it independently as I'm a graduate and working full-time.

I've been researching and I'm confused about this third unit being some kind of 'internal assessment' or coursework? How am I supposed to do this? What board should I choose? Can anyone please advise me?

With the three sciences it's a bit annoying because the third unit is a practical unit so it has to be done at a centre (e.g. a college) Some colleges offer AS level evening classes so it may be an idea looking into those.

Some of the private colleges (mostly in London) accept private candidates for practicals

They can be very expensive but you don't have to take the written exams there if you can find something cheaper locally.

Google will probably yield more options, contact local private schools if London isn't an option for you.
