Can anyone tell me whether the NYC bank under Prescott Bush financed Hitler during WW2? I'm not aware of any sources.

I've never heard about this.

I've heard Henry Ford financed Hitler before he became the Chancellor of Germany though.

I was under the impression it was German industralists.

I might have a look through my Hitler biography later, I do remember there was a point in the book when he was able to afford a Mercedes (not sure if that was due to mein kampft or not though).

I have never come across this American finance angle however and I've read my share on Hitler...

My history teacher mentioned that there was apparently some loose connection between a company Prescott Bush was director of and some German companies that financed the Nazi's. But it wasn't during the war, it was the years leading up to the war apparently...

Henry Ford hated Jews, he wrote a book on the subject and got a medal from the Nazis for it. But he wasn't a Nazi sympathiser, and actually contributed to the war effort against Hitler.
