    Models 1 Feedback?
Hi. So I've been thinking about sending in pictures to agencies so I'd thought I'd just start with the top and work my way down. I sent pictures into Models 1 and got this feedback 2 days later.

I'm not sure what to think of it- are they saying very nicely that this is just something that I should not pursue? And that I could 'try' at other agencies but maybe I'm just not good looking enough to actually have any affiliation with any agency? Is the 'very handsome' whilst intended to be nice, a patronizing thing that you'd say to a 12 year old?

I'm very new to these things so I can't help but try to read into what they're saying:

    Their email:

Thank you for your email regarding modelling with our agency. We are always pleased to hear from guys who are interested in pursuing a modelling career.
Unfortunately, in reviewing your photographs, whilst we think you're very handsome we do not feel that you are right for this agency. You may however wish to look at the Association of Model Agents information website www.associationofmodelagents.org , for a list of other approved model agencies.
Once again, thank you for your interest in Models 1 and we wish you the very best of luck for the future!
    Kind Regards
    XXXX
Thanks everyone, apologies if this is coming across a bit ridiculous.

Haha yeah, they get thousands of online submissions.

You submit pictures, measurements, age etc.

    Enjoy :P

That's probably just a standard reply they send to any men who email pictures. I think they only surefire way to get into proper modelling (as in with top agencies like that) is to be scouted.

Yeah I had a feeling it might have been an automatic response.

So I guess the 'very handsome' was completely meaningless!

What kind of photos did you send them? Regular polaroids?

I'm guessing it's a slightly standardized response. If you have all the right requirements, I suppose you can try other agencies as well - it happens that one is rejected by one agency, and chosen by another. But if 2 or 3 turns you down, then you probably don't have modeling potential.
