Getting a haircut. (Male)
I hate the thought of showing a hairdresser a picture of the style/cut I want... I want the style of the image below but how would you describe it?

Re: Getting a haircut. (Male)This basically, its a good haircut cos it looks alright when its flat as well with just a bit of texture in it from using some half decent product.(Original post by 16dan2life)
Grade 2 on sides and back
Thin out top and make it choppy so I can spike it into faux hawk/Mohawk -

I took a picture into my hairdressers today and they still couldn't replicate what they saw. The picture was of me and a former do that I really liked (hence why I took a pic)
I hate getting my hair cut. Most hairdressers are rubbish! The next time I get a haircut I’m not talking to the stylist! I'm just going to say, this is what I want; I don't want to have a conversation about inane rubbish as I am hear to get a hair cut, that is what I am going to be paying you for, and I don't want to distract you from that job which I value more than polite chit chat.
The hairdressers I went to today was an old (ish) woman who, it seemed, relished telling me about the young girl 19 or 20, who'd just been sacked for dating a 52yr old dude, and two other guys at the same time. She didn't elaborate as to why this may have precipitated her losing her job. But one of the guys was a young dude recently released from jail for shooting someone and that last time I was there getting my hair cut by this young lass, who did a very great flippin job! There was an agitated dude hanging around outside the shop. And now I'm stuck with the old hags who enjoy calling the pretty young girls 'cock teasers' and saying they deserved everything they got (one of the guys had smashed the windows this young woman’s home).
And she charged me £9.50 for the privilege!! I am actually getting angrier the more I think about it. The young lass only charged me £5 or 6!
How do you guys treat the whole hair cut thing, do you have the same hairdresser every time?
If not, how do you speak to a new hairdresser?
I don't feel comfortable with the dictation of exactly what I want, but how else are they going to know. But I showed her a picture today and she still couldn't do it!
I know this is a rant but I’m annoyed.
Maybe this is a thing about how men speak to woman. Maybe this is a political thing involving power and spite and emotion and psychology and all that jazz involved in human relations!
Oh.
