Re: AA100I'm in London. Was originally planning to do the Open Degree but have changed to Language Studies (which really pissed off the guy I spoke to on the phone!)(Original post by tikrumo)
Hey! I'm going to do it too. Working towards BA English Literature. Yorkshire regional centre. What about you? -
Re: AA100
Working towards a BA English Literature, too.
Dunno what regional centre I`m with. I`m living in Germany, so the german one I guess
Haven´t really had any contact with `em at all (the regional centre), I always only dialed the number of the Open University in the North, `cause they seem to be responsible for me (or is that even the regional centre...?)

Re: AA100That's a bit strange. Seeing that you haven't even started your first module, it shouldn't be too inconvenient to change.(Original post by amison)

To be honest, I don't really know much about regional centres. I guess I will have to familiarise with it later on when seeking for some career advice. Regarding the degree, have you signed onto the new (Q) or old (B) degree structure? I am very curious to see how different they are. I am going to do B66 as this is my second degree and therefore I had to do it under the transitional fees arrangement to be able to afford it.(Original post by Vorenus)

Re: AA100The guy did seem pretty miserable on the phone, so I'm guessing I caught him at the wrong time. Every other person I've spoken to has been lovely.(Original post by tikrumo)

Re: AA100I`m doing the old one (B66). I did (just completed, but awaiting TMA 3) A 182 this year, which made me eligible for the transitional agreement.(Original post by tikrumo)

From what I understand, they aren`t that different at all, at least when it comes to content, etc.
The structure is the main thing that`s changing - you have to follow a more rigid structure than before, but honestly, I can`t really see that much of a difference. -

Re: AA100Haven't done any yet. Just starting AA100 in October. Can't wait to get started. I think I'll stick with the more Classical modules (such as A219 and A275), but leaving my options open. What about you? What have you done/plan to do?(Original post by quaveralien)

Re: AA100
Hello
(hi Rubee!)
I'm starting this module in October, and will eventually progress onto an English Literature/Creative Writing pathway.
I'm under the South-East regional centre & am located in Surrey.
I'm sat at my desk at work running through the Study Companion again now
Has anyone watched the Burton/Taylor production of Dr Faustus yet? It has wonderfully poor special effects and is pretty brilliant in terms of comedy value - I've got hold of the 2010 Greenwich Theatre version for a proper look at some point
Becky
