    Worried about summer grades
    Hi all,

In the winter exams, I got 94 ums in PHYA Unit 2, 2 off an A

Im pretty sure I got an A in the Unit 1 exam this summer, but I got around a C/D in the ISA. Do you think I could still achieve an A overall? Im confident my marks in Unit one were very high, but im worried I could be left with a B, lowering the amount of offers I could get from unis

    Thanks for any help!

Not getting an A at AS will barely affect your chances of getting offers from uni's so long as you're predicted an A overall. Uni's tend to use your predicted grades much more than your AS grades. Some uni's just ask for you to be predicted over a certain boundary (eg Physics at Warwick, anyone who was predicted AAA was given an offer).

I know it will be gutting if you don't get an A, but don't worry about it too much if you do as it's UMS thats important at AS.

Hopefully you'll get what you want though in August, good luck!
