    best cheap(ish) smartphone?
I've had Blackberries for the past few years and as my third one has just broken I've decided to give up on them! So I would love some advice and recommendations for a new phone!

I would be willing to spend up to or around £20 a month but I don't tend to use many minutes, texts or internet. I would love an iphone as I use BBM a lot (the only reason I've stuck with blackberries for so long!) and I know they have whatsapp but I'm not sure if you can get contracts as cheap as £20/month? I wouldnt be bothered about getting an old model but I have heard they can be really fragile...

I know HTC's are supposed to be good but does anyone know if they have an equivalent IM feature like whatsapp/BBM? And does anyone have any advice concerning the samsung smartphones etc?

There's so much choice that I just have no clue where to start - any advice you guys can give me would be appreciated

You can get Whatsapp on almost any Android phone via the Appstore (that probably doesn't help you very much as it simply broadens your horizons ) I have it on my HTC

Here's a great offer with an excellent phone for £21 per month.

It was £225 on the google play store the other week altho its temporily taken it off due to the patent wrangle in the US. It should be back up soon :dunno:

at £225 for probably the fastest smartphone on the planet is really not bad, especially when slower phones such as the iphone 4s, samsung galaxy s3, htc one x retail for about double that price

I know you can get Samsung Galaxy S2 at Tesco for about £20.50 a month on 02 and around £21 a month on T-Mobile. I think the T-Mobile contract offers a better deal though. This is assuming you don't mind not having the latest model, but it's still good nonetheless. It's basically a larger iPhone with a different OS.
