    The simplest method...

Reduce the portion sizes of whatever you're eating now.

    The hardcore method...

Focus on eating lean meat or fish and vegetables (and a small portion of quality carbs like beans, lentils, quinoa, brown rice, etc) with every meal.

Gluten-free versions are no better for you than normal versions if you don't have an allergy to gluten! Gluten is not *bad* for you unless you have a disease which makes it trigger your immune system. Whoever told you otherwise it a total dipsh!t.

    Re: Gluten Free
OP, I live pretty much on eggs, chicken, salad and vegetables. Often "gluten free" labelled foods set me off anyway (no idea why, it doesn't bother me either since I don't like the texture of most of it) so I tend just not to bother with them. It's all just starchy carbs at the end of the day, and they are not of much help when cutting. I don't count the calories I eat, I just stick to clean foods and eat when I'm hungry/ stop when I'm comfortably full. I'm losing weight at around 2lbs/ week, still lifting as heavy as I can manage.

    Hope this helps.

Eating gluten free for me , if anything, has made me realise just how much bad carbs make up our diet unnecessarily, and the alternatives that are available. I now make nuts and seeds a much bigger part of my life.

If you look at that and go to the peanut butter balls, they are SO good. organic honey, organic peanut butter, almonds, oats and apricots, they satisfy that time when you could stuff your face with chocolate, and they are ready prepared for when you want them.

Do you find eating gluten free/high protein is more expensive at uni? I'm worried I'm going to be blowing my whole weekly budget on food, and there's gonna be nothing left for the important stuff. Like booze.

I agree with you, I always notice such a massive difference in my health when I cut out grains et cet. I'm not gluten intolerant either, it's just so much healthier not to eat them.

Edit: Why the neg? I'm talking about personal experience. Eating paleo makes me healthier. I couldn't care less what you eat.
