    Forex
Recently considered trying to trade on the forex in order to try and make a bit of dosh.
I've had a bit of a read up on babypips.com and realise it will take a lot of work and time to try and get it to work.
Has anyone else tried it? Got any tips at all?

Havent tryed it, decided it would require too much capital to actually be able to make a return and the euro troubl;es didnt help... try reading forex for dummies and work your way up though its very helpful if you dont know very much about it

Since capital isnt a unit of measurement how exactly can you say its that...? Especially seeing as you dont know how much the OP has to use...

with 200 quid one can take positions of 10.000 quid. so not a lot of " capital" needed to make decent returns.

This is irresponsible advice. This kind of position would entail that you can lose your £200 of actual money in seconds from such a large bet.

im not anything, other than doing his homework, using stop losses and focussing on a few pairs. i wa merely pointing out to the other

You dont make something from nothing, which relatively speaking that is, such bets come with a huge amount of risk which is unlikely to pay off ... you may aswell tell him to throw his money off a balcony especially as he's not an adept trader in this market...
