my legs are killing me today...!

my legs are killing me today...!
I went to the gym yesterday and did the same routine i normally do.
3 sets of 50kg leg presses and 50kg on the glutes machine.
Today i have barely been able to walk because they are aching so bad!
Is this normal and does it just mean the excercise is working, or does it mean Im pushing my muscles too hard and should lower the weights? -

Never lower the weight unless you are unable to do a full rep on that weight with good form.
Its called DOMS, it will go in a few days just stretch or use a foam roller, rest the muscles for a few days and increase your protein intake the help them repair. Use heat rub or get a sports massage if it's really bad. I often struggle to get up and down stairs the day after a leg sesh, just gotta suck it up. -
