    Depends on the circumstances.

If the country was at war or there was threat of it, I'd probably want to leave.

If however poverty was the only issue I'd try to do a degree as an international student in a useful subject/vocation and then return home to make use of my skills, to better the country etc.

Well obviously the latter, as working to improve clearly doesn't get the country anywhere.

India is a perfect example and trust me if any of you lived there you would abandon it without a second thought.

Depending on the situation, you might do more good for your country by working & campaigning abroad.

Leave to a rich country, become rich and come back and help others become rich.

What makes you so say that?

    Well

1 - I guarantee you would try your very best to leave the country. Either at the start by deluding yourself into thinking that you'll come back and make it a better place or to just abandon your countrymen.

2 - As you grow older you'll realize the country's government is so corrupt in every way possible that there's really no way you can improve the situation even on the off chance that you do come back after studying abroad.

Abandon them to die? "Poor countries" are not nightmarish hellholes in which everybody is on the brink of starvation or about to die of cholera. Most people in all but the poorest parts of the world have a standard of living well above subsistence.

Leave to a better life if an opportunity presented itself

Not according to people that oppose reducing immigration. We must let them all in because otherwise they will live a terrible life..

Japan, South Korea, Israel the list goes on all these countries have worked hard in the 20th century to improve they didn't start off as well off countries.

Although, its nice to say one person staying and trying to improve the country is pretty hard when everyone else is immigrating to other countries looking for work. This is the case in Uzbekistan, where everyone goes to Russia for work and no one is Uzbek looking to improve the country.

It would depend on where I'm going to get paid more, and where my money is going to buy more, surely?

I'd work hard in my country, then find a poorer country and use all my earnings to live like a king in the poorer country.

So say i was born and raised in India, i would work until my mid 20's then move to Greece where i would have all the riches
