    Re: Results day. Some questions...
    1. What are you looking forward to the most?

Not having to worry about what grades I think I got, and actually getting the real deal

    2. What is going to be the worst part of results day?

Almost definitely the night before, the car journey there, and before I open the envelope.

    3. Who are you most afraid of telling your results to?

I'm not really afraid of telling anyone, que sera sera.

    4. Where will you open your results?

In the school hall with my friends

    5. What is the 'minimum' grades which would please you?

I don't really want to say, in case I jinx it, but that's pretty much damn near impossible because I've done the exams so there's nothing more I can do. I'm hoping to achieve at least an A in everything, except for maths, which I'd be happy with a B in. (but if I did get an A, which is highly unlikely, I wouldn't turn it away )

    6. What subject(s) are you dreading getting the results for?

English Language, Physics, French, Spanish, but I reaaaally want to know my maths grade, I worked so hard to get my predicted B on that!

So a few questions just to see what everyone thinks of results day.

    1. What are you looking forward to the most?

Maybe your itching to get your results or maybe you just want to get it over and done with.

    2. What is going to be the worst part of results day?

Maybe the drive up to school, opening the envelope or looking at your grades for the first time.

    3. Who are you most afraid of telling your results to?

Embarrassed your friends who done better maybe or possibly your parents expect you to get all A* grades? Maybe a teacher you feel you have let down

    4. Where will you open your results?

Away from public eyes, with your parents or with all your friends?

    5. What is the 'minimum' grades which would please you?

Maybe you want to just pass a few subjects or possibly you won't be happy with anything but A* grades.

    6. What subject(s) are you dreading getting the results for?
    1. What are you looking forward to the most?

Just getting rid of the unnecessary stress that was waiting for the results.

    2. What is going to be the worst part of results day?

Honestly, watching other people cry because they didn't quite get what the wanted.

    3. Who are you most afraid of telling your results to?

My teachers. They wasted so much of their own time trying to help me and I seriously don't want it to be in vane.

    4. Where will you open your results?

In front of my teachers so they can see what the look on my face after 5 years of intensive studying. Hopefully, they won't have to watch the face of disappointment.

    5. What is the 'minimum' grades which would please you?

I would like A*s in the science and English lit and re, but the other subjects could be an A. I don't want to get anything below an A.

    6. What subject(s) are you dreading getting the results for?

Absolutely dreading RE cause I'm sure that exam was either yes or no. Also dreading English lit, sciences, citizenship & french.

    Re: Results day. Some questions...
    1. What are you looking forward to the most?

Whether I did well or not, as it will shape my university options. Who wouldn't be curious? I also can't wait to see what everyone else got and compare it with mine.

    2. What is going to be the worst part of results day?

The strong feeling of dread a few minutes before you see the results. What happens if I failed or didn't get what I wanted? What if some disastrous mistake occurred?

    3. Who are you most afraid of telling your results to?

Myself, actually, as I am my worst critic. My mother as well will be absolutely disappointed in me if I get low marks and I always dread that possibility, since she always moans about how I will fail and that I'm not smart enough. So far so good.

    4. Where will you open your results?

I'll be opening it abroad, alone in front of the computer. Just the way I like it. I will see my friends right afterwards, so it will be nice to ask them while the atmosphere is still exciting. I will inform my parents a few hours later just to make sure my marks were right and are not going to change. I want to absorb it all myself for a while and reflect upon my mistakes and achievements before revealing anything to anyone.

    5. What is the 'minimum' grades which would please you?

Well, since I'm doing AS levels and I can't get an A* yet, a very high A will have to do. A low A is the very least.

    6. What subject(s) are you dreading getting the results for?

Everything. I'm not confident about any subject as they're equally hard for me. Some went well, some were unexpectedly hard, but we never know. =)

    I have a question...

Would it be weird if I arrived at school to collect the results on my own? I was just wondering whether people were coming with their friends and parents? My mum has offered the take the day off but I said she doesn't have to bother, I said I was going to go on my own. The local newspaper will be there and I don't want to look a total loner turning up by myself when everyone else is with their friends

    1. What are you looking forward to the most?

Having to not worry about them (if I do good), and I am going to Menorca a day after.

    2. What is going to be the worst part of results day?

Noticing you didn't reach your potential.

    3. Who are you most afraid of telling your results to?

    4. Where will you open your results?

    When I leave.

    5. What is the 'minimum' grades which would please you?

Honestly... Just 5 C grades... I'm not smart and my predicted grades were all D grades...

I hardly think so. Just mingle with people, asking them what they got, and you'll be fine. ;p

    Re: Results day. Some questions...
    1. Finally knowing my results, I'm impatient so I don't like the waiting
    2. Not being able to sleep well the night before, worrying about the worst and not getting the grades for sixth form.
    3. My parents, they expect high results but they won't be too annoyed if it wasn't as they know I have tried my best.
    4. I don't know, but not in front of the newspaper people who come to take photos -_-
    5. Hoping for all A/A*, but will happily take a B in science and religious.

    1. What are you looking forward to the most?

Finally seeing my results! And then using them to actually decide what my fourth AS will be...

    2. What is going to be the worst part of results day?

Well, I won't actually be at my school for results day, so it's going to be opening them by myself in my bedroom!

    3. Who are you most afraid of telling your results to?

My friends. My parents are pretty sympathetic and aren't desperate for stellar results, but most of my friends are!

Drama, History, all the sciences and English Language. Think I buggered them up.

    1. What are you looking forward to the most?

Getting the grades.. and being able to finally kiss GCSEs goodbye!

    2. What is going to be the worst part of results day?

Opening the envelope and thinking of the worst possible scenarios!

    3. Who are you most afraid of telling your results to?

Friends who have done better than me, or my parents if they are bad!

    4. Where will you open your results?

In the hall, but in my own little corner (away from parents and teachers!); or if I spot a quiet friend who's expecting similar results, with them in our own little corner!

    5. What is the 'minimum' grades which would please you?

    As and A*s; I'm predicted 9A*s, 2As but I guess it's possible that I get 11As - I'd like at least 7A*s (however pretentious that sounds!)

    6. What subject(s) are you dreading getting the results for?

English - this is what I want to do for the rest of my life, so I really want two A*s - OMAM on AQA went horribly, and I completely forgot about the effects on the reader, and I forgot an introduction for the unseen poetry.

Maths and Chemistry - went awfully, praying for low grade boundaries

The relief that it's all over!

    2. What is going to be the worst part of results day?

Sleeping the night before, then when the text comes, opening the message.

    3. Who are you most afraid of telling your results to?

Friends, because they need their results to go to uni, whereas I'm not relying on mine - so could be awkward if they don't get the results they need, which I hope isn't the case.

    4. Where will you open your results?

Probably alone, parents will be at work.

    5. What is the 'minimum' grades which would please you?

AABB would be okay but I will be ecstatic with 4 As!

    6. What subject(s) are you dreading getting the results for?

Modern Studies, I messed up the second paper, and German was just the worst possible papers ever!

    Re: Results day. Some questions...
Guys your GCSE results don't really show what your Uni options will be. I guess they give a LITTLE idea. For example, if you have 7A*s and you stay at a high standard in sixth form you are more likely to be going to a top Uni, but at the same time, someone who has lets say 3A*s and 7 As for GCSE, and A*A*A* at A-Level, can get into top Uni's too.

It just gives you a rough idea. You need to work 10x as harder and get those predicted grades too.

Edit: My post has been horribly misunderstood. I am a GCSE student. ALL I meant was, when people were talking about how their GCSE results will show what Uni's they can apply for. I was only correcting them meaning that 7A*s for GCSE doesn't mean 'Wooo oxbridge bound'. Someone with 4A*s could get in if they have a better personal statement etc etc.
    That was ALL I meant.

I was wondering how long this topic would last before the "Oh A-Levels are so much harder. Get on my level" comment rolled in. This topic has nothing to do with how difficult the exams are but rather your feelings on results day.

I can assure you that how insignificant the results may seem to you now, you experienced the same hype, excitement and fear of results day a few years ago.

Firstly, because you negged me I negged you back.
Secondly, all I was saying is that they don't determine your Uni options like people were saying. Gosh.

Maybe I was a little harsh but normally these comments are just by people trolling about GCSEs.
