Re: Results day. Some questions...
What are you looking forward to the most?
The wait to be over. And to stop guessing what my results might be and to actually know what my grades are.
What is going to be the worst part of results day?
The moment when you open the envelope and just see a jumble of numbers and letters.
Who are you most afraid of telling your results to?
Myself more than anyone. My parents would be very proud if I did well but not too bothered if I did badly. I would love for all the work in the last two years to pay off.
Where will you open your results?
Either at school with friends. Or before hand online.
What is the 'minimum' grades which would please you?
I need to get A's in Maths, Biology and Chemistry (as these are my a-level subjects) and a B in English language to get into Sixth Form. And overall I would love for all my results to be all A's with 1 or 2 A*'s (in a perfect world). However I am expecting B's, French, Latin and Geography as they were just bleh
What subject(s) are you dreading getting the results for?
All the ones that I need for Sixth form. Chemistry is one of my best subjects but i found the exam horrible so I hope I scrapped an A even though i was hoping for an A*

Re: Results day. Some questions...
1. What are you looking forward to the most?
Getting it over and done with; I keep thinking I've failed so hopefully that won't be the case.
2. What is going to be the worst part of results day?
Opening them!
3. Who are you most afraid of telling your results to?
TSR, where anything less than 10 A*s is deemed a "failure"
But honestly, I'm not really bothered about telling my results to anybody. If they're good enough for me then that's done and dusted.
4. Where will you open your results?
At school, by myself.
5. What is the 'minimum' grades which would please you?
5 A*-Cs with a B in English and Art. It's all I need to progress to the A-levels I'm hoping to do. Although I'd prefer if I got an A in Maths and English Language as some of the courses I've been looking at require them. If not, I'll probably resit them during AS.
6. What subject(s) are you dreading getting the results for?
English Language. I was really ill during the exam so I keep thinking I'll have gotten lower than I need.
Good luck everybody! -

Re: Results day. Some questions...
1. What are you looking forward to the most?
Hopefully, the amazing feeling of knowing that I did well enough. If not, the large tub of ice-cream that I'm going to be bawling into.
2. What is going to be the worst part of results day?
The sick feeling before looking at results! And the fact that I will have had no sleep due to worry.
3. Who are you most afraid of telling your results to?
If I've done badly, then the other students in my year at school (just going into S6 and people seem to believe I've definitely got a place at uni - not the case!) If I've done well then the friends who I know will be disappointed that I've done better than them.
4. Where will you open your results?
I'll get the text, e-mail and update on Track in the comfort of my bed. Alone. I'll then open the letter (of which I'll know the contents) with my family.
5. What is the 'minimum' grades which would please you?
BBBBD - but really, who thinks they've passed Higher mathematics?!
6. What subject(s) are you dreading getting the results for?
Nothing, really. I took Maths, English, French, Business Management and Music at Higher and a) know I've failed maths or just scraped a pass unless they lower the marks needed significantly and b) reckon I've done alright at the rest.
Just realised that this is GCSE! Ah well, I'm sure you don't mind hearing about us Scots worrying too.Last edited by InkingTheSky; 27-07-2012 at 18:16. -
