I'm a guy, 18 years old and 5 foot 3. I'm extremely skinny and not fat at all. Everyone is taller than me and it makes me feel inadequate. Is there some way I could grow a bit taller?
Ah, thats cute! If you could find a way to grow a bit taller (that actually works) tell me please!

I honestly feel sorry for you man. I have 5 basic rules in life when it comes to dating for women:

    1) Don't date a guy shorter than you
    2) Don't date a guy younger than you
    3) Don't date a guy more feminine than you
    4) Don't date a guy who's never been to the gym
    5) Don't date a pussy who doesn't watch football, drink beer (though optional and obv I understand religions prohibit), play sport, etc

Unfortunately you fall into atleast one of them so if I was a girl, sorry, but i'd never go anywhere near you
Oh dear, you couldn't be more wrong. I know lots of girls who have been out with guys who are younger / shorter / not into fitness, sport, drinking etc. You missed out the rule that pretty much most girls at least try to follow: don't date a guy who's a complete and utter jerk. In which case, as you completely encompass that last rule, I'd have to say that most of the sensible female population would not go anywhere near you. Just saying.

OP I was fairly short all through school and even when I left school at 17 I was maybe 5'6" then between 17-19 I grew to about 6'3" and I'm now 26 and 6'5" (an I ****ing hope I've stoped now) so I wouldn't worry to much as you may still be due a growth spurt. If not don't worry Tom Cruise is 5'2" and he does ok.
    Cruise is 5'7"

    I stopped growing when I was 15

Lol, women would be exceptionally lucky to have me. Whilst i'm currently in a rebellious, untrusting, angry state of mind towards them, having in me their life when I was fully committed and loved them has been the best experience and time and love and care and affection they could have possibly asked for.

I did things that women see on tv, dream of, read in magazines, see in films. I went through half my limbs, across the world and further just for them. Only to be unappreciated.

So please don't tell me I have no reason to believe and think the way I do. Perhaps I should have mentioned this at the start, but meh, who cares. Past is past.
So you've turned sour and cold because of past experiences with women? Don't let that determine how you treat them in the future though. As with men and women alike, they learn from past experiences and they mature as they grow through relationships, and so they change.

Not all women are the same you know, and doing all these things you see on the tv/dream of and such just to please them might not work for each and every one of them. I strongly believe that if you just BE YOURSELF, instead of being what they want you to be will leave YOU feeling unhappy and leave them being fooled.

But still, that's not a reason for you to bring other men down. You say that if they are short then you, don't bother? He might meet the most amazing other half who is 1 inch shorter. You say if they don't play sports, drink beer then they are a "pussy" and undateable? heck no! My boyfriend hates football and he's the most amazing person ever.

I'm sorry you haven't had a great past when it comes to relationships but if you let all that get to you then you're doomed for the future.

PS a lot of girls don't like the whole "Mr Perfect" game. I'd rather stay in, play X-Box and eat pizza with my other half over wine and dine and such. But that's just me

I have to follow tk1993 on this - but I'm skewed because I always end up training with bodybuilders, so my standard is 200lbs upwards for 6'0 ft+ - as you said though, you're doing it for yourself, you just need to apply this to this thread - he is his own person, and your stereotyping needs not be projected unto him.

Not sure if you read but i'm also a middleweight boxer as well as muscular trainer/trying to get ripped but big, so I have to keep my weight down, and hence can't be a powerlifter, and tbh, i'd rather look muscular and ripped than bulky and massive.

Well, you did tell everyone to look at your blog...
If you really only wanted to impress yourself, you'd keep your progress to yourself too.

I did, and I did ponder on that - unfortunately, I haven't met many boxers out there, not even when I did MMA training in my early teenage years.

That said, one thing I know for sure, muscles don't win women. I'm not trying to get big, I just want to be defined - but as an ectomorph, it's somewhat difficult. It's very easy for me to put on fat and muscle, but to lose the fat and keep the muscle (in terms of definition), it's difficult. In the three months I was with the wrestling team, I've managed to conflate my figure back to "teddy bear". I'm at 126lbs with 14% BF, I'm still nowhere near my 11.5% BF goal.

Lol jealous because you aren't as muscular, athletic, or fit as me? I dominate you in every aspect of fitness; speed, stamina, endurance, strength, power, discipline, and progress.

Don't call me a troll just because i'm more hard working than you. Get off here and go down the gym and actually act before you talk. Bye.

I do have to ask, how the heck do chinups really help?

At age 13, he's starting puberty, or will have started it.

When i was young i use to think that your pulling yourself up and gravity is pulling your legs down so your legs should get bigger . But after going to secondary school i realised it doesn't work like that :/.
It's probably physiological, i don't argue with my mums logic i just let it be
