Your F1 20 Race F1 Season
Hey all,
Some circuits are great for racing. There is a magic around certain tracks that no matter how hard you try, you'll never reproduce at others.
Let's say you're in charge of F1 for the 2013 season and have a complete free reign of which circuits you go to. Which 20 do you chose? In no order, mine would be:
1. Silverstone
2. Istanbul Park
3. Monaco
4. The A1 Ring (Red Bull Ring)
5. Nordschleife
6. Suzuka
7. Mugello
8. Spa
9. Monza
10. Hungaroring
11. Bathurst
12. Melbourne
13. Brands Hatch
14. Montreal
15. Circuit de la Sarthe
16. Road America
17. Sao Paulo
18. Circuit of the Americas
19. Estoril
20. Sachsenring
A feel it's a nice mix of current tracks, a few of my old favourites, a couple from games and the odd bike track!
So, what's your 20? -

In calendar order:
Melbourne (Pacific GP)
Watkins Glen (US GP)
Interlagos (Brazilian GP)
Imola (pre-1994 but with lower kerbing so Ratzenburger-esque accidents are far less likely and just generally safer so bad things don't happen if possible - otherwise I'll settle with the post-2007 version - San Marino GP)
Jerez (Spanish GP)
Österreichring (pre-1987 but with a wider pit straight - Austrian GP)
Monte-Carlo (Monaco GP)
Nürburgring (Luxembourg GP)
Montréal (Canadian GP)
Zandvoort (Dutch GP)
New Jersey (New Jersey GP)
Brands-Hatch/Silverstone swap (British GP)
Hockenheim (German GP - pre-2001)
Spa (Belgian GP)
London (European GP - on proposed layout)
Estoril (Portuguese GP - pre-1994 without the silly hairpin)
Paul-Ricard (French GP)
Monza (Italian GP - pre-2000 with the cooler double Rettifilio)
Suzuka (Japanese GP)
Adelaide (Australian GP)Last edited by constantmeowage; 19-07-2012 at 20:07. -

Re: Your F1 20 Race F1 Season
Trying to keep it as realistic and practical as possible, also this is for no particular year.
Australian GP - Albert Park
Malaysian GP - Sepang
Singapore GP - Marina Bay
Japanese GP - Suzuka
Korean GP - Yeongam
Turkish GP - Istanbul
San Marino GP - Imola
European GP - Valencia/Brands Hatch/Hockenheimring/London/Catalunya/Monaco
Italian GP - Monza
Portuguese GP - Algarve
Spanish GP - Jerez
French GP - Magny-Cours/Paul Ricard
British GP - Silverstone
Belgian GP - Spa
German GP - Nurburgring
Hungarian GP - Budapest
World GP - Sakhir/Buddh/Shanghai/Fuji/New Jersey
Canadian GP - Montreal
USA GP - Indianapolis/Austin
Brazilian GP - Interlagos
All Grand Prix with multiple venues would alternate. -
Re: Your F1 20 Race F1 Season
1.) Melbourne Park Australia
2.) Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
3.) Suzuka Japan
4.) Interlagos Brazil
5.) Laguna Seca USA (sub 1 minute lap?)
6.) Montreal Canada
7.) Istanbul Turkey
8.) Spa Belgium (in reverse so they go down Eau Rouge)
9.) Le Mans 24 hour (along with the other le mans cars)
10.) Monte Carlo Monaco (Just for the glam, not for the racing)
11.) A1 ring
12.) Monza Italy
13.) Nurburgring (Quali on the old circuit, race on the new circuit)
14.) San Marino
15.) Mugello Italy
16.) European GP (Alternates between the streets of London, Paris and a course set out along the mountains of switzerland)
17.) Silverstone Britain (Due to the demand of this list I'd leave it at 17 races. The following three are possible reserves)
18.) South Africa
19.) Fuji international speedway Japan
20.) The race track in spain where top gear tested the m3, rs4 and c63 amg.

I had forgotten about Road America, but the Glen is a fantastic track too, so I think I'd still make them alternate if I incorporated Road America in it too.
