    How come mate?

    Don't want the extra work?
Not so much that, I'd just miss being able to get involved with elections, bills, motions, ect if I was the Speaker full-time.

There's no need for a seconder.

I did run for deputy once promising to show everyone that Grant was Adorno's son and other such things. I wonder how many people are left who even understand that

I will now TCIT doesn't want it unless someone who wants to run who isn't a complete turnip PMs me to say they are running or announces it here. If I like the look of any other candidates I will probably withdraw anyway when the manifestos are published so I would appreciate someone saving me the small effort :P

I'm considering my options with regards to running for Speaker, but haven't yet made a decision.

Following my announcement yesterday, I'm running a Speakership Election.

If you wish to run for the position, you need to PM me a manifesto of no more than 250 words by 7pm on Wednesday 25th July. Late entries will not be accepted. Current and former MPs are eligible to stand. The timetable for the Speaker Election is detailed below.

TimetableWednesday 25th July (Evening) - Manifestos posted; 3 day Q&A period begins.

Saturday 28th July - 4 day secret voting period begins.

Wednesday 1st August. Voting Closes. If a candidate has gained more than 50% of the vote, they are elected, else a second round of voting begins.

Saturday 4th August. Second round of voting closes (if required). The candidate with the highest number of votes is elected.

If you have any questions, feel free to post here.

    Good Luck!

Since you're not a current or former MP of the MHoC, I don't think that you can.

You have to join a party and be selected as an MP or run as an independent candidate in a general election both of which won't be happening any time soon.
