iq kopa is the best without a doubt... very modern, very clean looking, very spacious, great location and the internet is very good unlike most alternative private halls. the uni owned halls r pretty poo, iq kopa is uni leased so it's maintained privately. trinity and foundry r probably the second and third best private halls.

Re: which accomadation is the best and why
IQ Kopa is definitely the best halls in Preston, all the uni owned halls are not good at all, most likely because they've been around for at least 20 years or so. Bowran House & Boatmans Court are leased to UCLan which are also pretty decent and modern
And all the private halls are quite decent too, although they're better off if you're planning to be a 2nd year in halls. From the private halls, the best ones would be Leighton Halls, Foundry Court & Brunel Court, the rest, such as Moor Lane Halls & Trinity Student Village are not very good. The private halls are definitely a much cheaper option if you want to live in halls, but also, if you want to live even cheaper, a shared house is much more recommended, you can get decent houses close to the university from £40+ a week and even get student houses with inclusive bills from around £65+
I lived in IQ Kopa in my first year, & will be living there again for my second year, but if i wasn't, i'd choose Leighton Halls or get a house

Re: which accomadation is the best and why
I lived in IQ Kopa in my first year, only one other person had lived in it before me as they were only a year old (or maybe two) but as has been mentioned, the internet is very good, the rooms are all really modern with nice fitted desks and the beds have a lot of storage underneath them. The staff are super friendly, the common room is a good size, with a laundrette built in. There's a pool table a lot of seating with Sky TV. It is very close to all the University buildings too. Second to this Trinity is lovely I had a friend there last year and their room was awesome.
Whitendale are the worst, but also the cheapest and University IS an experience after all :P
Private houses though whilst usually a bit of a doss some of them, they are cheap and you really can make it feel like a home, more so than University halls.
