Re: Xmas JobsDid you get any Xmas job last year? And I should start looking in August, do I ask them for Xmas temps or do I just apply for any jobs that are available?(Original post by Serenity Hope Moon)
I can help with that:
But most won't start recruitment until mid Aug/Sept. There are more, I think, but I can't remember them all. The above are what I mostly applied to, last year. -

List of companies that recruit during Christmas...regardless of experience (I've got no experience)? Been looking for a job for like 2-3 months so I think Christmas is my only hope now

I didn't get any job last year, but given that most of the companies excluding Argos, Card Factory and BHS, recruit online. I would start from there. With the companies, that do paper applications, BHS you would need to ask for xmas temps before giving your CV in.
Argos and Card Factory give applications out, so start from there. There are more companies that you can try at:
- Clintons
- Disney Store (if there is one near you)
- The Perfume Shop
- CEX
- GAME and Gamestation (though i'm wary on these two)
- TK Maxx (unsure about this)
- Matalan
- Wilkinsons (some do, but unsure)
However, back to your question, I did have a xmas job back in 2010 for a month but that was at Boots, and given that I'm heading into 2nd year of Uni, well it'll be even more stressful. I got interviews with Disney Store, Debenhams and M&S but nothing beyond that.Last edited by Serenity Hope Moon; 19-07-2012 at 15:05. -
