Racism, stereotypes and microaggressions will forever make me sad.

What can you tell about a person by looking at them?

Why are people racist, what does it serve and what does a person gain from this?

I certainly dont feel any solidarity with somebody because of shared skin colour. I am most comfortable with people who share my interests rather than people who share my skin colour.

I just think it's so primitive and such a poor reflection of humanity for racism to be pervasive. It's almost like man has evolved tot he point of being able to travel to the mars and create life-like computers, yet racism still exists.

As a child I lived a life free or oblivious of racism - and it was bliss. As an adult you don't have to travel far to experience racism. It's such a jading experience. I never want to become bitter about racism but it is very soul destroying.

You can actually tell a lot.
One main factor would be their body language when meeting you, you can tell whether they're confident and sociable, or reserved and nervous. There's a lot of things you can tell tbh, it just depends how well you're able to read someone!

Usually the type of clothing wether it be designer or whatever usually defines there personality.

I don't think skin colour should determine what a person is like character wise.

Or can you tell their favourite Abba song?
Can you tell where a person was born by looking at them?
Can you tell where a boys father did his PhD by looking at him?

What can you learn about a person by looking at their clothing? You do realise that most poor people wear designer clothes and that many millionaires wear non-branded, plain, cheap looking casual clothes?

I don't want everyone to agree with me. I am genuinely interested in what you can factually know about a person by looking at them.

IMHO, unless I have confirmed a statement about myself as truth, it is mere speculation. I never believe rumours or gossip about anyone, let alone negative stereotypes.

you can tell how they choose to present themselves to the world. their preferences in clothes and makeup. a reasonable estimate at their age. gender and ethnicity(usually). often there mood/ how they feel about things.

By 'ethnicity', do you mean race?

Can you tell whether a black person was born in Britain, Angola, the Turks and Caicos Islands or the USA by looking at them?

Can you tell whether a white person was born in Britain, Jamaica, Turkey, Nigeria or Brazil by looking at them?

Can you tell a person's cultural values or character by looking at them?

How can you be 100% sure of a person's subculture, social status, job etc just by looking at them? What if a person is wearing a tracksuit because they were coming back from a morning run? I knew a criminal law judge who was harassed by the police because he was unshaven and wearing a tracksuit, sweating after a jog. The police attempted to harass him and he had to bite his lip.
