i totally agree with this. im standing 100% behind my man Bolt, athletes have bad days too, just because Blake beat him doesnt mean Blake will win in the 100M finals. if Bolt performs at top form and doesnt get disqualified for false start he'll win it for sure.

Bolt to win...but just. Blake 2nd and Gay a close 3rd. It all depends if Bolt can get a good start (and don't false start), as Blake is faster out of the blocks than Bolt.

This will be a truly massive 100m final if all the likely players are present (Bolt, Blake, Gay, Powell). Can't wait.

Its really close Bolt is probably quicker but is way too slow off the line. ( Bolt = 6 ft. 5 and 200 pounds).
Blake is a lot smaller, so he has less win resistance but he has shorter legs and takes more steps. (Blake = 5 ft.11 176 pounds)

At least we know that this race will be a lot tighter than the 100m final in Beijing.

Is it only between Bolt and Blake? What about Powell or Gay? As I mentioned before, my money is on Bolt, but how will Powell and Gay perform?

It is going to be really close on the times, but for first place, I would say it is between Bolt and Blake.

Don't know if anyone saw this when it was on TV a few days ago. An hour long, but it's worth a watch. Didn't know about Christophe Lemaitre being the first white man to run sub 10 seconds in the 100 metres.

I think Blake will get under 9.60 in his career, but he won't improve his PB by as much as 0.15 seconds at a single event.

If you think anyone but Bolt will win, providing no false start, you're insane. Only Tyson Gay has been below the 9.70s mark and only once. Bolt has marginally (!) beaten Tyson Gay's best and then again for the 9.58s.

If he get's his reaction time right, we all know from that video that he can be ahead by 30m and from there it's plain sailing, no one catches the Bolt from there.

And I just saw that when Tyson Gay did his PB, it was with a tail wind of 2.0 m/s, where as bolt did 9.58 with a tail wind of 0.9m/s.

If you consider the world leading times this year, Blake ran 9.75 with 1.1m/s tailwind. Bolt ran 9.76 with a 0.1 m/s headwind.

My money's on Bolt.

I would like to make myself clear, though, and point out I don't think Bolt will run a ludicrous 9.49. If he does miraculously better his WR then I think it's more likely to be around 9.54 or something similar. Can't see any huge gains as he's come no where near close to his WR any time recently.
