Blake beat bolt at the jamaican trials!! At both 100m and 200m. Blake is full of confidence compared to gatlin,gay,powell and lemetire... and is bolts main competitor for the gold at both 100m and 200m. But at least they'll both get gold in the relay.

To say Blake has a better start than Bolt isn't true. His starts are as inconsistent as Bolt's, generally, but Blake has never accelerated as well as Bolt did during his 9.58 or his 9.69.

I imagine Bolt will be in mid 9.6 shape, conditions permitting. I can see Blake running low 9.7 or possibly a very high 9.6 if there's a decent tailwind. Thing is though, if Blake does get the start of his life and Bolt accelerates poorly- will Bolt be able to catch Blake? Blake's last 30m are insane.

My money's on Bolt though.

I think Bolt if he was completely fit and healthy but hes not, he still has a much larger margin of error though if he performs close to his best he should win comfortably but will he thats the question? Blake, Gatlin, Powell and Gay are his main competitors. I would love to see Gay win the gold but i think thats close to impossible hes been through so much and his body just doesnt keep up with the strain. Powell is injured as well isnt he?

Bolt will take it again the guy is incredible. I just can't get over the fact that he broke the world record and began jogging during the last 10-15 minutes he could have shattered the record if he was a bit more professional.

If it was going off this year, I'd never seen Bolt before then I'd say Blake.

But we all know Bolt is a totally different animal at major tournaments I'd be idiot to place my bets otherwise. The amount he steps his game up is ridiculous!

As for the 200, well.. I think that will be a tougher pick.

My fav run from Bolt was the 2008 semi where he ran 9.85 but was so sedentary in the last 20m. The easiest looking 9.85 we'll ever see in a long time.

Well he went from (9.69 to 9.58 & from 19.30 to 19.19 in Berlin so why not, it's the OG after all (providing he doesn't false start/get injured lol).

At the trials bolt held back at the gun and you can clearly see it hence why he lost the 100 but blake is a beast at the 2. Tyson Gay if fully fit will beat blake in the 100 I dont thnk blake can run 9.7 in british weather.
