this.
although there usually things like to do lists or lists of things I need to get ect and I hardly ever actually follow them. So I basically document things I should but don't do which just serves to prove how lazy I actually am. -
Re: Weird stuff you do (and wonder if other people do it too)Haha I do this(Original post by Luxray)
Second thing is sometimes I try being the first person in the world to do something.
It's great

Re: Weird stuff you do (and wonder if other people do it too)
I check under my bed for monsters..Or pretend I'm playing a character from a musical and what I'd look dressed as them and how I'd sound singing their parts. Right now it's Mimi from Rent, I really want to play her even though I can't sing

Also, not sure how weird this is, but I imagine an alternate version of my life, where I look different, have a different family but same friends and stuff, basically a movie version of myselfLast edited by throughthemonsoon; 04-08-2012 at 21:58. -
Re: Weird stuff you do (and wonder if other people do it too)
Can't have the volume of the tv on a number that doesn't end in a 0 or a 5.
Same applies to my alarm clock. And I won't get up when the time is inbetween a 0 or a 5.
When listening to music, pretend I'm in the band or that it's my song.
If I'm not doing anything and I know I'm gonna sleep in really late, I'll set my alarm for 11.30 so I can grab some breakfast while it's still technically morning.
I'll alphabetise all my DVD's and fictional books, but all my history books go in order of time period.
Listen to all my guilter pleasures when I'm in the house on my own and proper belt it out to them. Phil Collins seems to be a favourite. And his music sounds bloody awful in an Oldham accent
If I have a nightmare or if I've watched something scary and I'm in bed, I'll get under the duvet and refuse to move. I can be absolutely boiling hot and incredibly uncomfortable but I still won't move. Duvet + not moving saves me from whatever is scaring me... -
I spread nutella on my toast with a spoon instead of a knife
When eating icecream out of a bowl, I spend about five minutes whisking it into a soft, smooth foam before having it - prefer it that way
I don't eat all the fatty stuff on a chicken Drumstick

I often unwittingly thank cash points after they have given me my money
Cash Point: Electrical/mechanical noise as it presents notes
Me: Takes notes, 'Cheers'
Cash Point: '. . . . .' -
I know this was two weeks ago but I do this too!!(Original post by MissLightyear)
Oh and when I'm the passenger in a car and I'm bored, I imagine a guy on a skateboard riding beside the car and he'll grind the pavements and jump over obstacles ...
I also sometimes plan my non-existent wedding. It doesn't help that weddings are an interest on my stumbleupon. I think about the dress, the cake, whether or not to have a professional video, and location...
When I went to school I also set my alarm like at least an hour and a half before I needed to, got dressed, did hair/make up, packed my bag, had breakfast, did everything except shoes and brush my teeth then go back to bed for a big nap. This way I could get up without reluctance because I knew I would get back in bed. Then the second time, 5 mins before I had to leave the house, I could just get up and go.
I have to sleep with a pillow between my knees.
I wear one contact lens on days which are more important than lazy glasses days but not as important as to require good eyesight in BOTH eyes.
I can't remember gradually stopping doing this but when I was younger I went up the stairs with my hands as well as my legs - not really crawling but clambering kind of. I want to still do this!
Oh, and also if I think someone is thinking the same thing as me, like having the same train of thought after something has happened, then they must also be thinking 'she is thinking the same thing as me'. So I cough or something to send a secret signal, and hope they send it back...
AND I blow the hair dryer on my body under my clothes. For example down my back. So good

Re: Weird stuff you do (and wonder if other people do it too)
When driving along on a sunny day, if there are shadows across the road from street lights or trees or signs or anything, I always imagine the car jumping over the shadows and landing on the road again when it's sunny. I get really caught up in it till several hours have gone past...

Re: Weird stuff you do (and wonder if other people do it too)
when i am concentrating on something i always stick my tongue out
When my 2 year old sister puts something in her mouth or trips or bangs her head I make sure I do the same thing so I see the severity of her injuries or see what she put in her mouth
I know that doesnt show anything but i still do it.Last edited by Converse girl; 06-08-2012 at 10:02. -
Re: Weird stuff you do (and wonder if other people do it too)Boy you have NO idea how much this made me laugh! You really sound quite hilarious(Original post by Cheese_Monster)
Everytime i'm listening to my Ipod, some blaring Skillet or otherwise dramafied rock music and skulk down the street as if its a scene from Rocky. Heading in to college I would always push both double doors open at the same time and give a dramatic walk to my classroom followed by an intense stare at people I pass wondering what the hell is wrong with me.
Sometimes in my living room I fall to the floor pretending i've just been shot saving someone and do a little speech about the wrongs of the world on my deathbed.
If someone smiles at me I can't give a genuine smile back, I may be in a club or out on the street and someone will give me an absent minded smile and I will always respond with a Hunchback of Notre Dame-esque scrunched up face which instantly looks like a piss take.
I work at M&S and I challenge myself to be a different character for every other customer that isn't in earshot to hear what accent I was just talking in. Yesterday I was Irish for 20 minutes until my manager walked past and then I started putting on the American accent for all the US customers that came in. I also work at Peacocks and i'm always asked to sweep the leaves from the front of entrance. Everytime I forget I'm doing it but I mount the broom in a Quidditch fashion and fly (half run) down the middle of the shop.
Whenever I get out of the shower, quite similar to the whole music escapade because shower times are karaoke times for me in which i'll always envisage myself as the lead of some end of year musical that goes international, I will always put on my towel and stare myself in the face for a minute or so.
God i'm weird.
