Yup it could definitely work. I've been to 2-3 in a big city nearby and they were organized by me and pretty small. I've met some interesting people through that. Would imagine meeting people in your town would be even better...the only problem is most of them are old :/ I'm only going to go to one if its something I really care about, if it doesnt have any girls on the attending list...or even guys for that matter. After that is entirely upto how you both interact but if you're both regulars, then its easier and things will if they're meant to be.

Do you work? You can make some good friends at work. Got a picture? Where you from? If you live in a village miles away from a city or town, it may be hard.

I have tried forums and you end up chatting but people have excuses to not meet up even though they say they want new friends. I think with dating websites people I know say that people must be looking for someone to fill a void. Are you quiet or shy? Maybe you haven't met the right people yet. Meet up has groups which my friend goes to and recommends, maybe type in meeting new people. Have you tried City Socialising? A guy will come along when he can see you are happy enjoying yourself and not looking. :smile:
