For all you left-wingers, the Guardian is hardly the pinnacle of newspapers is it? Some of their coverage is equally as laughable.

Daily Mail has the best comments section of any UK newspaper website.

    Fact.
I always lose a few IQ points reading those comments.

Nothing like the Daily Mail headline generator... my favourite one so far being 'are foxes turning hard working families gay'.

Another corker today from the DM -

"50 Shades Of Angela Merkel: German Chancellor's outfits recreated as Pantone colour chart (but none of them are very sexy)"

Sorry, missed the part where the main role of a Chancellor is to look "sexy." Would they do this for a man? No.

    MISOGYNIST BULL****!

    :fuhrer:
The fact they have posted non-stop pictures of half naked athletes pretty much everyday along with pictures of celebrity males shows they do do this to men.

The Daily Fail deserves its name...

It's just as cringingly wrong as the Guardian, just on the other end of the spectrum.

They're 'exciting' cos they make up bull. I bet their sciencey news is done by someone that barely has gcses in the subject. Infact, all their journalists probably have no/few gcses.

you have to be trolling; you can't cry outrage at the very thing you are doing.

    what?
You have to be trolling to say the Daily Mail is a good newspaper.

The daily mail claims outrage at the BBC for showing nude images pre watershed, whilst simultaneously showing the images in question.

Sort of like an alcoholic berating other alcoholics for drinking.

Nah I'm not trolling because I know that the DM does do things which to me are unacceptable. But its hard to find the balance in newspapers between gossip and proper news because I love both. What would you suggest I read?

Re: Why don't you like the Daily Mail?
I think the reason the journalism is so shoddy is no one really wants the job... after a year or 2 they get heart failure from going 'OMGFOMGOMGTHEIMMIGRANTS/BBC/MATERNITYRIGHTS/HOMOSEXUALRIGHTS/HUMANRIGHTS... ARGHH BRITAIN IS BROKEN WE MUST TAKE ALL THE TINNED FOOD WE CAN CARRY TO THE CAVES!!!!'

The sheer fury of some of the articles is even worse when you consider the lack of facts and evidence gives it as much integrity as a drunk, great uncle ranting at the first thing they see on the telly.

I think the shining moment was when on the comments a person said 'the NHS shouldn't pay for maternity costs, this is a lifestyle choice, taxpayers shouldn't fund them'

For reference I only really read the Economist...
