Depends on what subjects you are doing, but you may need a calculator.

Pencil case to put stuff in, so you're not messing around with a bag whenever you need something else.

A ring binder and the little plastic sleeves to go in it. Very useful for sorting notes into sections. Also, notes are not all your workings, I did that in the first few weeks and with maths ended up with too much paper to find anything useful.

    holepunch and ringbinders for english
diary/notebook for ur class schedule + to take note of ur homework + due dates
and im guessing like most people ur school had uniform and ur sixth form has no uniform, so just reminding you to make sure ur wardrobe is fully stocked

Sounds pretty sweet. FYI the coloured fine liners will come in handy when you're embarking on the long, strenuous journey of classroom doodles.

Although my sixth form provided us with sketchbooks for art.

What type of bag would you suggest for sixth form? I am currently looking at shoulder bags.

Reading what you're going to buy makes me feel like a slob. I just brought in a notepad and a pen

Fairly certain you'll definitely need ringbinders/some kind of folder. I did different subjects (English was the same) but I definitely couldn't have survived without them

Whatever bag you think suits you best, subject to the constraint that it should hold all your stuff.

Like someone already said, a ring binder will be useful after much trial & error I got a pukka pad with lined paper & dividers already in for each subject, then I would keep all notes for the current topic in that. Once a new topic started I would take out the old topic info and organise it into a folder for each subject - helps keep organised for revision

Good luck with your start to a levels!

Hi guys! Do most Sixth Forms give exercise books, or are you always expected to bring your own paper as part of your set of equipment?

Depends on the sixth form - the first one I went to provided equipment but the one I go to now doesn't. Be worth asking

Chemistry at mine gave out exercise books, and other subjects gave out one folder and as much paper as you needed. I often needed more than one folder per subject, though, and like to buy prettier ones

    Depends on your sixth form

I find a hole punch is pretty useful, everybody's forever asking if they can borrow mine :yep: Also, file dividers are pretty useful, particularly in English when you gets tons of handouts for each text

Hole punch. Stapler. I needed a massive lever arch folder for every subject and sometimes even two. slim folder for school letters and notices. A watch. Somewhere to keep your timetable. Do you get given planners/academic diaries? If not, one of these to write down homework and to do lists. USB stick.
