Re: MUN Deputy-Secretary General Election (off-topic)I welcome your comments, but disagree. I believe the buddy system will benefit the MUN if ran successfully. Looking back at old posts it appears the management of the former scheme was poor, causing its demise. Poor leadership from our predecessors shouldn't prevent the relaunch of a scheme that could benefit the quality of debating. Just my thoughts on the matter.(Original post by Ethereal)
both were
MOTM folded because there were so few decent/active members it became akin to a repping circle (and it will if you resurrect it, and so the mods will cry) and the informal buddying died a death because no one could be arsed. -
Re: MUN Deputy-Secretary General Election (off-topic)Many thanks, I very much appreciate it. Good luck for the election also, always good to know we still have courteous candidates!(Original post by toronto353)
Though you haven't voted for me, I don't agree with you being negged for showing your support for your preferred candidate so I have repped you to balance out the negative rep.

Re: MUN Deputy-Secretary General Election (off-topic)Of course I know. FA powers enable you to fiddle with polls as you see fit. I'm obviously not going to tell any of you though, lol.(Original post by toronto353)

I will obviously be taking 2 votes away from all of the people who completely ignored my questions and will be leaving the MUN if any of them win though - never to return.

Re: MUN Deputy-Secretary General Election (off-topic)1)lose my sight of course(Original post by paddy__power)
If you had to lose your sight or your penis which would you chose?
What can go up a chimney down but not down a chimney up?
Favourite K-pop band?
Which of the other candidates would you marry if you had to?
Which would you cheat on them with?
Failure to seriously answer my questions obviously loses my vote.

I'm popular.
Given that I've got two potential hubbies, I can't possibly answer your questions as it wouldn't be fair to pick one of them.

Re: MUN Deputy-Secretary General Election (off-topic)Nice question and my answer would be the news story policy of posting at least one news story per day because driving up activity which that will do is crucial to the survival and continuation of the MUN.(Original post by eff01)
Question to all candidates. If you are elected tomorrow, what will be the first change you will campaign for or implement? -

Re: MUN Deputy-Secretary General Election (off-topic)I will immediately increase activity in the forum by posting lots of news stories for people to debate on. I will also send a PM round to all members introducing myself and asking for any changes they want me to try to implement.(Original post by eff01)

If I get any more ideas, I'll post them here.
Feel free to ask more questions.

Re: MUN Deputy-Secretary General Election (off-topic)Probably work with the blocs with regards to activity. I would help T_C with the list of inactive members secondly and then look at blocs and helping them thirdly.(Original post by jsb123)
What would be the third thing that you would (try to) implement?
Also, if you could commandeer any country in the MUN, which would it be?
Is it cheesy to say that I'm happy with the countries I've got?
