Btec Level 3 Extended diploma in Performing arts.
    Hi,

I just got an offer to join this course but before I decide what to do I'd like a few questions answered if possible.

    1. What is the course work/ practical ratio?

    2. What is the dance/ acting/ production ratio?

    3. What will the course most likely contain what can I expect from the course?

    Thanks.

It's been a while since you posted and nobody's replied yet...maybe you should check out MarkedbyTeachers.com, TSR's sister site. It has the largest library of essays in the UK with over 173,000+ coursework, essays, homeworks etc.. all written by GCSE, A Level, University and IB students across all topics.

Handpicked examples show formative feedback comments from some brilliant teachers. Plus, reviews from A* students and hints, tips & common mistakes from their teacher team. You get access either by publishing some of your own work, or paying £4.99 for a month's access. Both ways give you unlimited access to all of the essays.

All their documents are submitted to Turnitin anti-plagiarism software, so it can't be misused, and the site's used by hundreds of thousands of UK teachers and students.

What's more, you can take a look around the site and preview the work, read reviews and teacher summaries AND view the hints and tips absolutely free. Click here to find out more...

I've taught this, but it varies on centre on what the staff have experience in as to what the content is. Here is the specification

    (1) This varies on what units you take, but most places I've taught it at, tend to do a good mix of both. I have taught this in a theatre for the younger company members of a full time resident company, so it can be very practical.

    (2) As I said before it varies on staff, there will often be a good mix of drama/dance and the production side is often none existent or small, but it varies on the staff, there can be an even split depending on staff and their skills.

    (3) I would say that you will meet people that you will get to know very well and you will get to have a lot of fun doing the work.

Most of all I would say with any performing arts or production arts course is to enjoy the course as it can be very fun.
