Re: Sports Psychology MSc
I have (and still am) considering it, although as you say, it is offputting to think about the lack of employment.
I think one of the things to ask yourself is what else you wouldn't mind doing with it - would you only want to become a sport psychologist, or would you be happy to go into another area where you could put it to good use?
Apart from the obvious Sport Psychologist and research, there's things like working with the NHS - e.g. setting up exercise programmes for different populations, working to increase exercise participation, going into work with nutrition. You could look into training in fitness or coaching alongside if you're interested in that, and put the two together.
I'm still considering it at the moment, but I do like the idea. It wasn't something I'd seriously considered much until last year, but something happened and I turned to sport in order to cope and get through it, and I just realised how much of a difference it can make to people.
Sorry, I realise this doesn't help a lot!
