When did he last act like a baby(Original post by johnharris19944)
The way he conducts himself, he acts like a baby when he doesnt get what he wants but hes not as bad as he used to be. I can still appreciate though hes a fantastic driver.

I hope not!! It's not his fault he was quicker than Vettel at that time. -
Re: 2012 Santander German Grand Prix
Dream result, Alonso putting in a brilliant drive again, ahead of Vettel, Webber nowhere, non contender Button getting up there so playing perfectly into Ferrari's hands
McLaren looked damn fast and the pitstop was mindblowing. How can anyone do anything in 2.4 seconds? It took me 3 seconds just to watch it
Lotus getting the tyre strategy wrong again, surprise surprise. -
Re: 2012 Santander German Grand Prix
Enjoyed the race, particular highlight had to be Hamilton un-lapping himself, made even funnier by Vettel reacting like he did. Really disappointed for Lewis though, he seemed to have good race pace, hopefully he can turn his season round next race.
Also, has it been confirmed Vettel has been penalised? He surely must receive some of punishment, there is no chance he'd have gained the place without driving off circuit. -
Re: 2012 Santander German Grand Prix
The presenters did say before the race something about if a significant part of the car is alongside you're allowed to go off to overtake and showed the Rosberg-Hamilton incident from a previous gp to explain.
As you can see Vettel moved left to give Button room and Button had no traction coming off that corner. Vettel should not have been penalised.
As for the neg rating please explain. I'm not hating on Button, I'm a fan and a lot of my posts after a weekend back his performance. In this instance I feel yes he did overtake outside the race track but the penalty is harsh.Last edited by Like_A_G6; 22-07-2012 at 17:15. -
Re: 2012 Santander German Grand Prix
What I found interesting was the Vettel and Alonso had both taken that and a few other corners wide on previous laps, which at the time gave the impression they were struggling with grip, whereas Button seemed to be on rails. Didn't take long though before Alonso started pulling ahead and Vettel was closing up behind, still going wide often. If nothing else it needs clarifying as to what is acceptable, so drivers know what they can and can't do and can take the best advantage they can.

Re: 2012 Santander German Grand PrixOf course he should have been penalised. If there was a gravel trap there then he wouldn't have made the move stick, just because its tarmac there shouldn't mean it's ok(Original post by Like_A_G6)

. It was an illegal move.

Vettel bitching, as usual

Re: 2012 Santander German Grand Prix
When Alonso finished the race he stood on the nose of the car, after he said to Button ""You couldn't beat me?" He then pointed to Vettel and said: "He couldn't either."
On Lap 62 His message to Stella was - "I know is not easy, but stay calm. Everything is okay here"

Re: 2012 Santander German Grand PrixI agree. Also nice sig, that car sounds incredible. Although personally I prefer his 2001 Melbourne lap just for the bit at 0:48 where Brundle says "There's probably a 27.2 or 27.2 in one of these Ferraris" only for MSC to pull out a stonker.(Original post by Marc Fiorano)

Re: 2012 Santander German Grand PrixSurely your guess would have required a still time of like 2.2 seconds... That would have been crazy...(Original post by Lib)
Fastest pit stop from JB. Total pit lane time of 16.831 seconds.
Competition at work for a trip to the Abu Dhabi GP. 4 people who guess nearest get to go for the weekend. I guessed 16.624...
Thought you were still in with a chance then realised like 100+ people probably entered, all with times between 16 and 18 second(ish) so it's not likely really... -
Re: 2012 Santander German Grand PrixHave a nice time in Abu Dhabi!!(Original post by Lib)

Shame about Lotus' rubbish strategic calls, it will cost them dear this season -
Re: 2012 Santander German Grand PrixThe fastest last year was 17.9-something and when my boyfriend timed the stop on the video feed from last year it came out at ~4.2secs, so we went with a stop of ~2.9secs, so 1.3secs quicker than last year, hence 16.6secs.(Original post by Motorbiker)
