The link I posted is a Colorado news station, so i'm guessing they're more up to date.
    Thank you.

"Another eyewitness, Salina Jordan, 19, told the Denver Post she had seen one girl shot in the cheek, and a girl who appeared to be about nine years old with a gunshot wound to the stomach."

The news coverage has pissed me off. They're not implicitly suggesting that it's some Muslim terrorist attack - talking about how Al Qaeda have cells etc.

It ****s me off, no wonder everyone hates them. Absolutely no suggestion of their identity and - **** wits - go figure, Christian fundamentalist attacks are more common in America than our Middle-Eastern counterparts.

Also, anyone heard of the film Rampage?

I mean, not saying it's a copy cat, but: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1337057/

When I heard about the body armour, dressed in black, etc. I immediately thought of that film.

When I heard about the full body armour, etc. I immediatley thought of that film.
    Ditto.

Like I said, genuinely not saying it's a copy cat, but the similarities are startling; even down to the type of guns, gas canisters and the non-chalant way the guy gives up.

Have you got a link to a news source guilty of this? I don't think its in the best possible taste that the main articles on CNN's front page are the shootings and a British cage fighter "curing" radical terrorists. Seems to me to hint that there is something linking the two, when there isn't.

Well, it's Sky. The commentator-bloke who's some sort of bomb specialist said it. It's on TV, so doubt there's a link to it.

It just winds me up. It's pathetic people instantly jump to those sorts of conclusions, especially in America where these sorts of attacks are relatively common. If it was here in Britain, those thoughts would be more justified. But still ****.

Oversimplification at its worst. Has it not occurred to you that in most countries where the citizen is forbidden the right to bear arms, the entity forbidding it (i.e. government) is very often the one doing the shooting? You don't get rid of shootings just by forcing a coercive State monopoly over firearms. Every murderous dictatorship in the world is testament to that.

It makes me dislike him even more that he didn't kill himself.

I realized it was distasteful to draw out a political debate directly from a tragedy such as this, so I took down my couple of posts relating to gun crime in the states.

My thoughts are with the families of those who lost their lives, and I hope that no more people lose theirs as a result of their injuries.

Until they introduce gun laws in the US like the rest of the world, I've got to say my sympathy is limited.
