Should I quit my Job?
I'm fed up of working in this tiny little pub washing dishes once a week. It's the only job I've been able to get since where I live is kinda crappy for that stuff. I'm off to uni in September, so you may say "meh its not much longer to go, keep going"
but to you I say this;
The boss is a a complete douche to everyone, and takes days off whenever she pleases.
She shouts at everyone unnecessarily
She puts me on a 2 hour shift, and others on 4 hour shifts more than twice a week
The place is a health and safety deathtrap, the ovens and fridges are disgusting and I'm surprised nobody has reported her for bad hygiene yet..
I asked 4 weeks in advance to get off work for a music festival that had been fully paid for, and she said NO! straight away, with the most horrible look i've ever seen.
The last one has really annoyed me, the festival is now two weeks away and I really just wanna quit now. Otherwise, I'll be made to work during the whole weekend and not make even a quarter of what I paid for the ticket.
I've found a temporary job for next week that makes me double than what I paid for the ticket, but that's only a one time job (and no, it's not a dodgy drug run
) its on a train, doing something with surveys... hahaa
There's a chance if I do the job well then I can do it again some other time
All I want is some advice on whether I should quit this job at the pub, since its my only source of income to me semi regularly.. thanks

Re: Should I quit my Job?When it comes to references, if the boss is a dick head and it's a temp dishwashing job, then the job didn't happen.(Original post by laura94)
I'd go to the music festival. She's being unreasonable, it's not like you're the only one that can wash dishes. It might be better to quit than get fired for reference purposes. -
