Why is Richards (a right back) playing at CB? Bertrand (a left back) playing at RB?

Can't see Team GB going far to be honest...
    That's Stuart Pearce for you...

He is, but wouldn't pushing him to right back mean bringing in Craig Dawson for Ryan Bertrand? Not sure I want that tbh.

I think Richards slightly out of position and Bertrand is better than Richards in his position and Tomkins/Caulker.

Anyway the point is you want the player with international, PL and CL experience to be leading and instructing the defence which is best to do from the middle.

    Beckham is not good enough.

Too old and plays in a poor league.

Also it wouldn't make a difference to ticket sales.

All the Team GB matches are sold out anyway.
yeah all the group matches are sold out, but not the matches beyond that

    Jordan Rhodes is English.
Erhmmm last time I checked he played for Scotland. In terms of football nationality he is Scottish, so try again.

Why the hell are Brazil hosting the 2013 confederations cup, 2014 World Cup, 2015 Copa America and the 2016 Olympics? How did they manage to do that?
The country hosting the World Cup always hosts the Confederations Cup, it basically a test run.

Are you stupid? We're talking about football here. As a football player, internationally he is Scottish.

You guys are going to get destroyed in the Olympics. Might get through the group, which is fairly weak apart from Uruguay, but if you come up against Spain or Brazil, dear god, it's going to be grim. I have to say, it's a very ordinary looking side on paper, with no real quality at all apart from Giggs. Meanwhile, Spain have a team that could win the World Cup, with 10 excellent Primera players, including 4 world class, or soon to be world class players (Alba, Mata, Martinez, de Gea, Tello). They didn't even choose Cuena or Thiago! Wow, what a team.

Also, there seems to be a feeling from where I sit that GB aren't really taking the football seriously, which is a shame.

I too watched the match and was surprised that GB were able to hang on and defend when they were 2-0 down.I honestly expected GB to have been thrashed by the BRAZILIANS due to the likes of Naymar,Hulk,Oscar and the list goes on. I was expecting GB to lose by at least 4 goals, team GB have done well for there first game what do you think!
