    Barefoot in summer
Now that it's getting warmer I always feel the need to take off my shoes when I'm out and go barefoot. Does anyone else feel this way. There is nothing more liberating in my mind!!

I totally agree! Although you don't half get some odd looks from people when you do it!

I never take my shoes off in public, I only do it at home or on the beach

Me too I love walking around bare foot but I only ever do it in my garden, because everywhere else there's just too much stuff that I don't want stuck in my feet, like bits of glass, metal, and just general nastiness.

I've seen people do it, but I never really get that feeling .. since I've lived a few good years in Egypt where the average temps during the summer are like 40c.
I mean I guess it's fine but it also depends where you are xD Don't be walking into a restaurant barefoot and not expect people to look at you.

Give me one sip of beer and a bit of sunshine and my shoes are off. It causes issues when in pubs but I love it, walking about on the hot pavement is one of my favourite things ever

Depends where you are. Wouldn't do it in London. Or on cobbled streets!

I've never really had the urge to take my shoes off in the summer. I only do it if I'm in my garden or at the beach.

I took my shoes off on a picnic yesterday, but I was wearing stockings.
I wouldn't do it like shopping or anything, but the beach or a park or my garden like earlier when I hung the washing out, I don't see why not.

I love the feeling of grass on bare feet so I ditch the shoes in summer when I'm at the park.

Not for me, only at home or on the beach (which isn't very often). If its hot, I try to wear cool shoes so my feet don't get too hot.

Only in the beach and park. Why not sandals?

I've only done it once and that's because my shoes were in the bottom of a loch. There's something odd about walking through Glasgow city centre without shoes and not getting injured at all.
