    Running trainers?
So Ive started going gym and about 15 minutes of running the balls on the insides of my feet and big toes get really sore. My boyfriend says it might be that I have flat feet but I think I just have bad trainers!

Can anyone recommend something? I've been looking at Nike running shoes because they have a good rep but even then I don't know which ones to get.

You need to get your gait analysed.

If you live in London, go to the Nike Store, you can get them custom fit.

If you're going to do something do it properly.

Nike is predominantly a fashion brand and it's sales assistants know very little about sports shoe fitting. Go to a specialist running shop like Run and Become.

There isn't a magic brand that will work for you, you need to go and get your gait analysed at a specialist shop where they can analyse your running and how you land on your feet. I wear Nikes with a massive inside because I'm a massive overpronater. But you can't just get a pair someone recommends online because they work for them, you need to go and get your own style looked at.

More of an overpriced fashion shoe than anything else.

I went to a place called 'up and running'. I had to run on a treadmill for a few minutes and then they analysed the way I ran. I have fallen arches (flat feet) and got trainers to support this. The cost was around £100. I think if you want to get into running properly it is a small price to pay.

I feel you're hating a little much on Nikes, the best running trainers I've had to date were Nikes, it's all about finding a type that works for you more than anything, mine happened to be Nike, regardless of anything else
