I'm looking for a great Co Op campaign to play with my twin and these two seem to rate quite highly. Which one do you prefer and think is the most fun? (Also, if you know how long they are that would be great!)

Depends. I think Borderlands will provide a more longlasting 'valuable' co-op experience, whereas L4D may be easier just to pop on and have some fun but not really progress in any way as the game doesnt really change like the weapons, quests etc of Borderlands does.

Thought about Dead Island or Saints Row? Both are great games for fun with a friend.

I think for 2 people Borderlands is the better co-op because you don't have 2 other useless computer characters wondering into your line of fire and not doing very much which is what happens when you do 2 player in left for dead. Also Borderlands has ALL the guns

Do you guys think I should get Borderlands on the PC or Xbox360? If I download it on the PC I get the 3 map packs for free... on Xbox I'd have to pay loads more for them... I primarily prefer these types of games on Xbox though... what do you think?

Gah I love both of these games but if I were you, I would choose Borderlands. Such an amazing game.
