Alternatives to University
I'm currently applying for medicine but I am very unsure as to whether or not I will get in and reapplying doesn't really appeal to me. So I want to know if there are any alternative things I could do instead of going to uni. I am currently doing A level Biology, maths, chemistry and physics. Could I do internships? get an unrelated job and wait till I have enough money to start up a business? what other options are there? I am aware that more companies are starting to provide courses for students who just don't have enough money for university too.

Re: Alternatives to University
I would say that you should definitely apply, if that is where your heart lies.
Then work your arse off so you know you tried your absolute best and you won't have the regrets of not doing enough work.
If you've not had very good AS-level results then it doesn't matter too much, i was on an E/D at psychology, with so so so much work i managed to up it at A-level to a C (3 marks off of B). and i didn't develop this work ethic until far too late into the second year. Knowing how much you have ahead at the start of the year will allow you to manage your time better.
You could also do all the things you asked about, but if your heart is in medicine, why just throw it away?
