At the end of the day it the affect on you really isn't all that important. It is the affect it has on those around you that you need to consider. Frankly if you are fine with not showering for a month then go for it. But don't expose other people to it. Go for aslong as you want without showering but if you are going to be with someone for more than lets say 20 seconds then make sure you have showered within the past lets say 24 hours. Just personal opinion really

And why do you agree? What is so bad about it?
Unless youre living in a 3rd world country with no running water you have no excuse to not shower at least once a day!

A woman could probably get away with not showering for two days, but not a week. If you're male, you should be showering daily. Men sweat more, and so require regular bathing to stay clean.

Ideally, you should be showering once, perhaps even twice a day.

Once a week, and no doubt you'd be smelling like fetid, three-day-old, mouldy diarrhoea. You rank bastard.
Why has no-one quoted this! I'm sorry, but I haven't laughed so hard all week!:bhangra: Much more related to OP --> :bath:

It is bloody skanky to not shower for a week without exercising. Perhaps you can't smell it but I have no doubt those you meet when at the shops will....

It is your choice in the end, how you present yourself.

I sometimes have to work with people that have poor hygiene, and they obviously don't change their clothes either.

The smell is so bad and I have to keep at a distance from them, but unfortunately that's not always possible. Luckily, my manager would confront these people. I don't think I could ever do that, even if I tried to in the nicest way possible.

As other people have said, you may not mind going for a week without a shower, and that you think you don't smell bad, but it doesn't mean other people will agree. Your sense of smell can get too used to a ceratin smell that you won't notice it anymore.

Do you have a girlfriend? What does she say about this?

I don't think I could handle having a boyfriend who thinks it's ok to shower only once a week. I certainly wouldn't want to be intimate with him.

If you have had baths in between it's OK, otherwise ugh.

That's nasty OP. Maybe that's acceptable in your culture, but not in Britain!
Coming from a culture that doesn't wash it's ass after taking a ****, you're really in no position to criticise anyone's hygiene.

Oh wow, guys... way to throw insults. I guess OP did ask for people's opinions though, heh.

Anyway... OP, there are two things I'd use as benchmarks: primarily, if no one's ever mentioned anything to you/shown any signs they think you don't smell too fresh, or something, then you're good. Like you said, there are a bunch of different factors, and you might just be one of those people that can get away with it (and there's nothing wrong with that). Everyone's different, and just because everyone else seems to have gone shower crazy, doesn't mean you have to unless you think you need to. Besides, you're saving water this way!

And secondly, personal preference- some people who've already replied said they just don't feel good if they haven't showered today, or whatever, which is fine. And personally I can't stand to have long baths/showers (I can think of so many other, more interesting things I could be doing with my time than mooching around in water... heh, I feel a bit like that about sleep as well xD), so I tend to avoid them when I can, which is also fine. Do whatever you want, but as shown by the reactions in this thread... perhaps not shout it to the world c:
