Re: Battle of the App's - who wins you decideI am disappoint.(Original post by Plato's Trousers)
look at that apostrophe!!
Please can someone deal with that? We are meant to be educated people here! -
Re: Battle of the App's - who wins you decide
I think the intention was to use the apostrophe in the word app' to indicate that it was short for application (see the first couple of paragraphs in the thread it links to), hence app's would make sense in that context. But it does look a little weird

Re: Battle of the App's - who wins you decideI realise app is short for application but that still doesn't mean you use an apostrophe in the plural. For example, the plural of CD is CDs, not CD's(Original post by secretmessages)

"App's" would mean "belonging to an app" -
Re: Battle of the App's - who wins you decideThat wasn't my point(Original post by Plato's Trousers)

Note that I said app' (with an apostrophe) rather than app, to denote a single application. The plural of app' (with an apostrophe) would be app's, but like I said, it does look odd

Re: Battle of the App's - who wins you decideBut who spells app with an apostrophe? Everyone knows it's short for application, I've never seen it written with an apostrophe.(Original post by secretmessages)
