So, I have £100. How can I make it increase well between 2 weeks and 2 months? I hopefully want to have a good amount of cash from it before uni next term.

    Cheers in advance.

The only real way would be to gamble it and hope for the best. There's no point investing that kind of money as the returns I'm your time period wont even cover your bus fare.

What a question! There obviously is no straight answer. You could try buying and selling on eBay? Gambling? If you live around lots of students you could but something and charge extra for delivering it to rooms, for example booze or smokes? Not drugs - obviously not worth it.
Could try premium bonds but the payout is so low at the moment.
Avoid lottery tickets and scratch cards.
    Or just get a job?
    Regards, Ollie.

As others have said the only real way of getting a higher return is to try gambling, although that being said youre liable to loose it all as well so you never know ... no banks will give a return you want in such a small time frame, or at all for that matter same goes for investing unless you somehow find the golden goose of investments that goes through the roof just after you part with your money ... your capital is simply to little and your time frame too small to make any meaningfull return.
Although it might be worth looking into buying odd widgets on the cheap and flipping them for a profit but again like gambling you could easily loose money aswell...

So what exactly can I do with the £100 that does not involve shopping, charity or any of that but can actually contribute to a better future?

Don't be an idiot and try making money off gambling because the bookies always wins. The odds are stacked against you, and whilst trying to win a considerable amount of money from it, you will end up losing it all. The only sure way to make money is getting a job, gambling is simply a risk which only millionaires or people who have a lot of self-control should enjoy.

You can sell those Olympic 50 pence coins for 2-4 times more than they're worth on ebay. I'm trying to collect the whole set, and whilst i'm not serious enough about getting them all to go and buy them for more than they're worth, I happened to check ebay to see how much they sell for.

Go into a bank and ask for your £100 in 50p coins, take out all the Olympic themed coins and sell them

I've got 11 of the 29 so far just from checking my change and stuff, but i'm only doing it for personal pleasure, rather than to sell them haha

Stick it in a savings account, it wont grow [or at least my any significant amount] but it'll end up as a little nest egg. Failing that you could invest it but same sort of problem, the chances of making any signifcant returns on it are negligable and theres the risk that itll go down in value ... people learnt that the hard way from 08 up till present when they watched their share prices get obliterated in many firms  the stock market is little more than gambling to be honest.
A general rule of thumb, in these cases to make money you need money..

Not a bad idea actually sort of like when those 20p's came out a while back without a date on them they were worth a relative fortune

i think youre confusing casino gambling with bookmakers or 'bookies' the latter it is anyones game the bookie cannot control what happens in any possible way they just take bets and offer odds on whatever event should transpire, they cant screw you out of money you can just take on stupid amounts of risk in which case its your own problem. Casinos on the other hand well everyones heard the tales of loaded dice, jacked roulette wheels etc. but who knows...
As for its only a sport for millionaires and people with a lot of self control? i have to beg to differ ... Just saying and all but if you use a bank youre in a round about way gambling, what do you think happens to your money? it doesnt just sit in a vault its invested by the bank and bares all the assosiated risks, northern rock being an example of when that goes tits up ... disregarding the insurance scheme offered by the government and all that aswell though

No idea, I don't see why not? I imagine businesses do it all the time when they require change for the shop or whatever.
And I know when you draw money out from the desk they ask you what you'd like it in.
I guess you could do it in smaller amounts than £100, £10 at a time or something!
