Use sleeves when in gym until you get bigger.

Or get a life outside the gym and stop caring? As long as your healthy and go to the gym for regular excercise then what more do you need? I don't get this obsession people have with bulking up, to the point that they spend their whole life at work or at the gym and end up taking steroids etc... what's the point? Once you get as big as you can reasonably get then what? What is the overal goal of 'getting big'? The gym should be a hobby to complement your lifestyle, it shouldn't be your entire life

Also, you're 17? You realise it's really bad to do excessive weights when you're still young as it can **** up your bone and musscle growth in later life. Steven Gerrard spend the best part of 2 seasons injured with reoccuring back issues from too much gym work in his teens and he was there for fitness not bulking up

    Clearly you don't get it.

As much as I think OP is a troll this is a real issue for some people.

Would you tell an anorexic to just get over it and eat some food?

FYI not everyone who lifts seriously does so to gain the approval of others (girls/their guy mates/other meatheads). Sure, it may start out that way but it eventually morphs into something else entirely.

It sucks to look at yourself in the mirror and see something that looks like **** to you despite all the hard work and sacrifice that you put in. Some people quit at this point but others keep going, and whilst you note improvement, you're never happy. There's always something more to improve. You're never big enough, never strong enough, never lean enough.

I'm steadily learning to use this never ending cycle of dissatisfaction as a positive thing but it's going to be a long, hard road.

    TL;DR

Having a distorted body image sucks. Don't be an ignorant and judgemental just because you don't get it.

Also, most guys who train properly (barring the rare retard meathead) are the more intelligent and well rounded than 99% of the general population. Learning to manage your time and living a driven existence works wonders for increasing your free time to do other ****.

you don't get it, if the gym is your be all and end all then you have nothing else going on in your life. It's like any other addiction, you controll it or it controlls you, and if it controlls you then you need to do something about it. It's nothing more than an obsession and as I said before, you need to think about what your overall goal is. When you've finally achieved 'perfection' what are you going to do with it? Weigh up the pros and cons like anything else. I'd rather just be healthy and happy thank look like hercules but have nothing else in my life. If you can find balance with it then great. But if like the OP it's an obsession and it's taking over/ruining your life then that's not healthy whatever way you look at it.

Well maybe you should think about training harder if you want to be bigger, and maybe if your friends comments are getting to you ask them to stop. A true friend is someone who doesnt make you fell small etc

Prove it. Steven Gerrard is just one guy. If you can't prove it, then stop spouting crap.

It's not a fact, it's wrong. Your the biggest idiot in this thread. And your lack of intelligence is made clear by your ignorance of your own stupidity.
